MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

MAR-KEN International offers maintenance training programs to cover all areas of Police service and detection. These programs are cost effective and are designed to maximize the working potential of every dog-handler team. Programs are tailored and customized to meet departmental needs.

HANDLER COURSE 160 Hours

MAR-KEN International's handler course is designed to train the handler and dog as a team. The course insures that the handler will be able to read and utilize his/her dog and demonstrate control of the dog under stress situations. This well-trained team will provide your department with a highly effective & productive law enforcement tool.

Dog handler teams will be worked in tracking, vehicle stops, building search, area search, handler protection, suspect apprehension, agility, obedience, and crowd control. All training is based on department policy.

NARCOTICS DETECTION 160 Hours

MAR-KEN International also offers a four-week narcotic detection course. Dogs are trained to passively or aggressively respond to the odor of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and other substances upon request.

EXPLOSIVES DETECTION 200 Hours

MAR-KEN International provides training to enable the dogs to passively respond to all of the common explosive odors.

ACCELERANT DETECTION 200 Hours

MAR-KEN International provides training to enable assistance with arson investigations.

DUAL PURPOSE 240 Hours

MAR-KEN International offers a 240-hour Cross-Training course which will provide your department with a K-9 trained in both patrol service and narcotics detection.
